Membership Types
VSU Program Membership $100 per annum
- Any Police based Victim Services program in Alberta providing service to victims of crime/trauma
- One vote per membership
- Access to low cost training opportunities (Coordinator Basic training (staff), Professional Development (staff), JOIN training (Coordinator), Board Training and workshops
- APBVSA Coordinator Handbook
- National and International updates on issues that concern police-based Victim Services
- Access to the Members only site on the APBVSA website
- Participate in and vote at the Annual General Meeting
- Emergency contact list of all Police Based VSU Coordinators across Alberta
- Access to lower cost program insurance
- Access and training to JOIN (Justice Online Information Network)
- APBVSA video and promotional materials (provincial brochures)
- Networking opportunities
- Notification of funding opportunities
- Bi-annual provincial conference
Guest Membership $100 per annum
- AB Victims’ Programs designate, K Division VSU designate
- Option to present report at Provincial meetings
- Option to attend and present report at Annual General Meeting
- Attendance at the bi-annual Provincial Conference (guaranteed 2 positions)
- Access to Guest section of Association website and Community message board
- Copy of the APBVSA video
- APBVSA meeting minutes
Corporate Membership $500 per annum
- Corporate or unincorporated businesses
- Promote products/services that will be beneficial and/or appropriate to APBVSA programs on the website
- Copy of APBVSA video
- 2 positions at the Bi-annual provincial conference at reduced rates
- Opportunity to advertise/display products or services at the bi-annual provincial conference
Associate Membership $100 per annum
(other non profits offering services to victims of crime)
- 2 positions at the Bi-annual provincial conference at reduced rates
- Opportunity to set up organization display at the bi-annual conference
- Copy of the APBVSA video
- Attendance at provincial meetings
Important: Membership privileges are reviewed annually. The APBVSA reserves the right to revoke or limit membership privileges.
